The Password field is a nice tool for accepting passwords from users. The text that is inputted in the field is replaced by asterisks. The password field also has the hide/show “Eye” feature, so the customers can check the typed characters, then submit them.
In the Fields section, click on the Password field to be able to edit the field.
Hide label:
Set the label to be hidden or shown by switching the toggle button on/off correspondingly.
Even if the Label is hidden, the title of the field will still be visible in the notification emails. In case you would like to receive the email without the label of the field, then simply delete it manually from the Field Label textbox in the Settings.
Field label:
Type in the Label of the field, the title you want your users to see.
Placeholder text:
Placeholder specifies a hint that describes the expected value of an input field. The text of the placeholder displayed in the field before you enter a value, and disappears when you begin typing. The text can be modified according to your needs, too.
Field size:
Adjust the size of the field based on your preference. This setting doesn't influence on the character limit.
Required:
You can activate the Required option, to signify that the field can not be left blank (a red asterisk * next to the field will indicate that it is required).
Range:
Set the number of characters that can be inputted in the Password field with the Min and Max range. The filled data will only pass validation if the value entered falls within the designated range.
By default, the range is set 3 to 20. Thus if the users type less than 3 or more than 20 characters the form will not be submitted.
Lowercase, Uppercase, Number, Symbol:
You can make Lowercase, Uppercase, Number, Symbol required in the password. Also you can determine at least how many of each the password should contain. If the requirements are not met, the users will see a validation message. The validation message can be edited.
Match password:
Enable to add one more password field under this one for confirming the password. If the passwords do not match, the users will see a validation message. The validation message can be edited.
