Getting Started with the Timeline App

Learn how to install Boom Timeline on your Wix website and see your Wix Events displayed in a modern timeline view.

Boom Timeline syncs with your Wix Events and displays them in a clean, modern timeline layout on your website. It's the easiest way to showcase your upcoming and past events in a visually engaging format.

To add the Timeline app to your Wix website:

  1. Open your Wix Editor.

  2. Click App Market on the left sidebar.

  3. Search for Timeline in the search field and press Enter.

  4. Find Timeline (by BoomTech) and click Add to Site.

  5. In the popup window, click Allow and Install.

Once installed, the Timeline widget will appear on your page. It will automatically sync with your Wix Events and display them in a timeline view.

Important: You must have Wix Events installed on your website with at least one event created for the Timeline to display content. If you haven't installed it yet, go to the App Market, search for Wix Events & Tickets, install it, and create your first event.

Please note: Timeline events are managed directly from Wix Events — you cannot create or edit events inside the Timeline widget itself. To add, edit, or remove events, go to your Wix Events dashboard from the Wix Dashboard sidebar.


After installation, double-click on the Timeline widget in the Editor to open the Settings panel where you can customize the sort order, filter events, show/hide elements, and adjust the design.
