Integrating Boom Form with Wix Collections

Wix Collections is an integrated development platform that lets you create your own database. Now you can integrate your form with Wix Collections and store the form entries in your Wix database. This is a great way of managing your website data in one place.

Before integration, make sure the Wix Dev Mode is activated on your Editor. Hover over the Dev Mode on the top of the Editor and enable Developer Mode.

After that, you need to add the Wix Collections add-on to your form.

1. Double-click on the form on Wix Editor to open the Form Settings.
2. Head to the Add-ons tab and click Open Add-ons.
3. Hover over the Wix Collections add-on and click Add to Site.

4. Once the add-on is added to your form, click to open its settings.
5. Turn ON the add-on.
6. Click the copy icon to copy the BoomForm Wix Code JS snippet.

Then, you need to set the JS snippet to your Wix Code.

1.Click Public & Backend on the left side of your Wix Editor.
2.Click the plus icon in the Backend section and choose New .js File.

3. Name the file http-functions.js

4. Paste the BoomForm Wix Code JS snippet in the JS file.

Next, you need to add a new database collection.

1.Click Databases on the left side of your Wix Editor.
2.Click the plus icon in the My Collections section > Create Collection.

3. Name the collection.

4. Click on More Actions > Permissions & Privacy.

5. When the window opens go to the custom submenu and check all the boxes like in the screenshot.

6. Make sure the show content and collect content submenues also have the privacy settings as "Everyone".

Lastly, go back to Form Settings > Add-ons > Wix Collections and add the collection ID in the Wix Collection ID section.

Done! Now, publish your website and each time the form is submitted, the entries will be stored in your database.

The add-on is supported in the Pro and Business plans.
