If you want to showcase only upcoming events, we have the option which will let you remove your past events from the Map view.
For that follow these steps: click on the Calendar to open the Settings tab > Layouts section > Map > check the Show only upcoming box.
Thus your past events won't be displayed and only upcoming ones will be showcased in Map view.
